Mediterranean Outreach: Strengthening Arab Identity and Culture
MOSAIC Project involved young people in Italy, Spain, Türkiye, and Malta to discover, reflect and share Arab culture in the Mediterranean through visits to historical sites, storytelling workshops and the creation of a collective map and video podcast.
Learning from al-Andalus: Building Skills Through Shared Heritage. A five-day training on Arab heritage in Cordoba and the first transnational project meeting.
Cultural Mapping
Tracing Arab Presence Across Mediterranean Spaces. Cultural mapping involves youth in identifying locations in their host countries that represent Arab heritage, old and new. This brings us to the creation of an interactive digital map using the Padlet tool.
Storytelling and Video Podcasting
Voicing Heritage Through Youth Narratives. The main outcome of this project is achieved through a series of storytelling and video podcasting workshops that have led to the production of a series of twelve episodes, three in each participating country.
MOSAIC – Documentary
Documenting Memory, Identity, and Cultural Continuity. The MOSAIC documentary is a testimonial of the different phases of implementation of the project, with interviews to participants, young people, organizers, and experts that were involved during the entire implementation of the project.
Educational Trips
Experiencing Heritage Where History Lives.
A part of the MOSAIC Project is also the organization of educational trips in each of the implementing countries, varying from: archaeological sites, mosques, daily impact of Arab culture in market shops and restaurants, and historical cities
